"Now this is better then going down the pub after work," Collette said as they got out of the coach and gazed at Blackpool all lit up against the night sky.

"Yeah great but I’m hungry so lets get inside," Comfort said joining her. Charlie and Harry Booked them in and they went straight into dinner. They then went and found their rooms, got changed and met up in the foyer to go out.

The next morning they woke up quite early to spend as much time as possible out and about in Blackpool.

"Right lets be off," Harry said as everyone was together after breakfast. "We’ll meet up at the pleasure beach restaurant for lunch at one o clock, see you all then." Harry, Collette, Josh, Charlie and Duffy went to have a ride on the trams whilst Duffy’s son’s went with Jack, Tony, Nikki, Comfort, Finn, Anna and Dillon to the pleasure beach. Simon and Lara watched them run off all wanting to be first in the cue for the rides.

"So what do you want to do Stoneface?" Simon asked looking at Lara.

"Don’t know, don’t care, when you’ve been cooped up in a police cell it’s just good to be out. What’s it like being registrar?"

"All right, lots of work."

"Well I can’t wait to be back. Come on lets go down to the beach, the sand might remind me of home."

By one o’clock everyone was gathered at the meeting place telling stories of what they’d got up to. They got some food and sat outside in the sunshine to eat.

"So what shall we do now?" Tony asked after they’d all finished. They were all about to reply when they were interrupted by a mighty crash followed by a lot of screaming. They turned round stunned to see a rollercoaster train lying upside down at the bottom of the track. There was a pause then they ran over to the site of the incident.

"Is this ride switched off?" Harry asked the attendant in charge of the ride who nodded. The paramedics then carefully clambered over the carriage to assess the situation.

"There’s some room here between them and the track but we’re going to need the fire brigade to cut them out, there strapped in," Comfort said from the other side. Lara and Simon went round to her and started assessing the casualties whilst the rest tried to obtain medical equipment.

"Who are you," the manager asked as he appeared at the scene.

"We work at Holby City A&E, have the fire brigade and paramedics been called?" Harry replied. The fire brigade soon arrived and began cutting out some of the casualties that were least trapped. Dillon and Anna were dealing with any bystanders that were injured and the rest were trying to get to some of the trapped casualties and help them with the equipment they had. Quite quickly the casualties that could be freed where cut out and taken aside to be treated by Lara, Simon, Collette and Roxy. They did what they could for those still trapped then they had to leave it to the firemen to move the carriage so they could get better access. When the ambulances began to arrive they handed over the patients. The rest of the park had been cleared so they had more room to work. There were about eighteen people still trapped on the ride so they stood by waiting for the firemen. When it was safe to do so they formed teams with the medical personnel that had arrives and worked quickly to assess, treat and free the remaining casualties. They had to work solidly and methodically but eventually everyone who had been on the ride was on their way to hospital.

"Thank you so much," The manager said to them after the wreckage had been made safe and the situation dealt with, "Without your help who knows what would have happened, a lot of those people owe their lives to you. Thank you all."

By now it was nearly dinner time so they headed back to the hotel.

"Well that was a bit of excitement I wasn’t planning for," Charlie said as they sat down to wait for their meal.

"The situation could have been a lot worse if we hadn’t been there," Duffy added.

"It’s lucky we went on all the rides this morning because it won’t be open tomorrow. What are we doing tomorrow Harry?" Fin asked just as dinner was arriving.
"Let’s get through the rest of today first," he replied then they all sat down to eat.
